According to it was the manager's own decision to make a video and publicly announce his departure. He wanted to ensure that staff, players, and supporters learned about it directly from him and kept utmost secrecy to avoid any leaks to the media. The manager prioritised providing clarity to his inner circle and their families about his future so that they could plan accordingly.

Alongside Klopp, assistants Pep Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, as well as first-team development coach Vitor Matos, will also be leaving Liverpool. The report claimed that the response from both staff and players was one of complete shock, with only a select few being aware of the decision beforehand.
